The Indian Chemical Engineering Congress-2009 (CHEMCON – 2009), along with the 62nd Annual Session of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers is being organized jointly by the Waltair Regional Centre of the IIChE and the Department of Chemical Engineering, Andhra University, from December 27th to 30th 2009 at Visakhpatnam, the city of destiny. This annual session plans to bring together eminent and world renowned Chemical Engineers from industry, academic and R & D institutions from India and abroad. CHEMCON-2009 provides the forum for indepth discussion on the emerging technologies and methodologies for economic development, consistent with clean and sustainable environment to enhance the quality of life. The programme will include one day International Symposium and Plenary and CDS Lectures by eminent persons in Chemical Engineering and allied fields. Prominent personalities will deliver memorial lectures in honour of Dr.H.L.Roy, Dr. N.R.Kamat and Sri C.K.Murthy. Parallel technical as well as poster sessions will provide an opportunity for exchange of scientific findings and latest developments. A youth oriented programme will also provide a suitable platform for students of Chemical Engineering.
